Mountfield Church of all Saints is thought dates as far back as 1066
This parish Church of All Saints, dates back to the early 12th century - it was originally thought that in 1066 a wooden church stood on the site
Whilst the present day church is a Norman building. (c1107-1124), the tower dates to (c1180-1200). The large Norman font (the second largest in Sussex) has 16th century decorations. Paintings inside date from the 12th to the 16th, century
One enters the church through the 14th century porch on the south side.
A clock was installed in the tower in 1905 in memory of Lady Mary Egerton.
