Bodiam Castle is well worth a visit it was built in 1385

It is now owned and looked after by the Nation Trust

This wends its way from Tenterden - "The Jewel of The Weald" for ten and a half miles, through the of the Rother Valley, to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent National Trust castle at Bodiam
The Northiam Oak Quercus Robur
Allegedly to have been a resting / dining place for Queen Elizabeth 1st on her way to Rye in 1573
The Crowhurst Yew in the grounds of Crowhurst Church
William could have seen this very old Tree in 1066 as it is estimated to be well over 1000 years old
It lies between Hastings and Battle
